Hello and welcome! If you're a writer who loves to break some of the rules to suit your way of writing and creating, you've come to the right place!
Here you'll learn about writing and publishing your own way. Yes, you need to know the rules, but one size does not fit all. The Autonomous Writer will provide you with all you need to know and help find your own path to creativity and writing to suit your individual needs and circumstances and help you be a happy and productive writer.
So let's get you on the path to being an autonomous writer!
What Is An Autonomous Writer?
The word “autonomy” means much more than independent. Autonomy is about being free to choose what you want and what you believe but it’s not always about going it alone. You can choose to do things your own way and be your own person while getting support and encouragement from others to help you on your journey.
This is why being an autonomous writer is more than just going down that road to writing and publishing on your own. You choose how you want to build your career, but you also ask for help and support when you need it.
My courses will set you on your path to being an autonomous writer by giving you the tools you need for your toolbox, showing you how to take them apart to suit your needs, and giving you guidance and support when you need it, plus access to a private group of fellow autonomous writers like yourself.

Tam May is an author, blogger, teacher, and lover of all things classic. She’s been self-publishing since 2017 and has 5 books published, one of which debuted at #1 in its category on Amazon, with 3 more on the way. She also taught college writing and tutored EFL students for 15 years. She loves to see students forge their own path to writing success. Her writing and publishing courses are all about creating autonomous writers - writers who learn what writing tools are useful to them and leave the rest and even take the tools apart and put them back together again to suit their individual writing needs.
